Elijah score big at Shearon Harris
The Strike Eagle Bass Anglers fished their January monthly tournament at the Shearon Harris Lake. It was a miserably cold and wet day with intermittent rain, sleet and water temps in the low to mid 40's. Shearon Harris always proves a little difficult for the club due to the strange slot limit in play. However even with the weather and water temps playing aginast them the could be spoiled for some of the anglers. One of those was Elijah who managed to boat two beautiful fish weighing a total of 11.39 lbs. With his big bass tipping the scales at 6.65 lbs. That bag was far more than enough to take first place.
JT and Earl managed to take second place with two fish weighing 2.81 lbs. Sam also managed to bring one to the scales weighing 1.19 lbs.
The Strike Eagle Bass Anglers meet once a month at E-Z Bait and Tackle in Goldsboro. They also fish one tournament a month in the waters around Eastern North Carolina. Their next meeting is on 21 Feb 09 at 6 PM. Check the message boards for more information.
JT is Unstoppable!
The Strike Eagle Bass Anglers fished their October monthly tournament at the Tar River Reservoir in Rocky Mount. It was a beautiful day on the lake, and an even better day for JT. He continued his winning streak by winning his third tournament for the 2008 / 2009 season. So far he is certainly the man to beat winning three of the four tournament this season. JT had two fish to bring to the scales at the end of the day. Together they weighed 5.96 pounds with the larger of the two weighing 3.88 pounds.
Second place and big fish went to Ralph with one fishing weighing 4.02 pounds. Sam and Rob teamed up to take third place each with one fish. Together the two fish weighed 3.73 pounds.
JT continues his streak at Jordan Lake.
The Strike Eagle Bass Anglers took a trip out to Jordan Lake in Raleigh for their September tourmanemt. A very windy day on the lake didn't stop several of the anglers from haveing fish to bring to the scales. After all the fish were weighed it was JT that took first place in the tournament. He had three fish at the scales with a total weight of 7.31 pounds. He said he figured out first thing in the morning that it was going to be a Carolina Rig kind of day and that proved correct. He said he caught several fish on the Carolina Rig all day long, as well as two of his keepers.
Second place and big fish went to Brandon with one fishing weighing 4.30 pounds. Jenks took third place with one fish weighing 3.75 pounds.
