Falls Lake prove bountiful for JT!
For their monthly tournament the Strike Eagle Bass Anglers went to Falls Lake in Raleigh. Several of the anglers were able to catch fish throughout the day, but it was JT that walked away with the tournaments first place title. He had one fish to bring to the scales at the end of the day, but that fish was a beauty. Weighing in at a solid 6.98 lbs JT took fisrt place as well as the big bass prize for that day. He said he caught his bucket mouth on a Green Pumpkin lizard, Texas Rigged in about five feet of water. He also mentioned that he caught this fish in the first 30 minutes of the tournament.
JT barely scraped by with this fish for first place. Right on his heels with another beautiful fish was Bretton Shaver. Only good enough for second place, his fish weighed in at a respectable 6.79 lbs. Right on his heels and finishing in third place was Jenks. He had two fish to bring to the scales weighing in at 6.72 lbs.

Kendell clutters the homepage with another win!
Strike Eagle traveled out to the Shearon Harris lake in Holly Springs, NC for their February tournament. It was a fairly nice day in the middle of the month following a week full of cold rain. Due to the slot limitations Shearon Harris proves difficult for many anglers that don't normally fish there and Strike Eagle was no different. A few of the anglers had no problem catching fish, but catching them outside of the slot was the challenge. Out of several fish caught on this day Kendell had three keepers to bring to the scales including the big fish of the day. Together all three fish weighed a total of 3.23 lbs which was enough to beat the rest of the field for first place. Kendell said he caught the fish on a junebug baby bush hog in 4-6 feet of water.
Sam and JT teamed up for this tournament and together were able to take second place with three fish between them weighing a total of 2.66 lbs.
Kendell chalks up a win!
The January tournament for the Strike Eagle Bass Anglers was the exact opposite of the December meeting. Winter weather warnings and six inches of forecasted snow didn't stop them from fishing Lake Gaston though. A light rain fell almost all day and the temperatures quickly fell into the high twenties. A couple of the anglers were able to hook up despite the poor weather. Kendell was able to take first place and the big fish pot with one fish weighing 1.86 lbs. He caught his fish in Pea Hill Creek.
Steve Latham was also to catch a keeper weighing 1.60 lbs, enough for third place. Jenks landed a bass as well taking third place with 1.33 lbs.
